The text consists of brief poems and fragments by Kruchenykh rubber-stamped in red. Two poems by Ali︠a︡grov (Roman Jakobson) in letterpress, leaf [21]
Includes 2 collages. The cover collage consists of a red paper heart to which a real white button has been glued; there are no traces of holes on the verso that would indicate the button had been originally sewn. The collage on leaf [2] consists of a piece of light green paper, shaped with scissors. Rozanova's 9 full-page monochrome linocuts (red, black, yellow, or blue) are printed on various white and colored papers. The subject is the face cards, with linocut captions in borders. For discussion see Gerald Janecek's The look of Russian literature, p. 99 (where the number of cuts given is 8)
From an ed. of 140 copies. See Compton
